IV Sedation

Intravenous Sedation or IV Sedation is usually administered into the blood during a dental treatment. IV sedation is often given to patients with anxiety to help relax patients during dental procedures. During IV sedation, the patient is conscious and can respond to the dentist, but will not remember any of the events during the procedure and will not feel what is going on. Although the patient will not be asleep during the procedure, it may feel as if they were because they do not recall anything that occurred during the procedure.
